Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Pawnest (“Pawnest”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from pawnests.net (the “Store”). By using the Store you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Order & shipping details — name, email address, shipping address, phone number, and the items you order. These are required to process and ship your order.
- Account details — if you create an account, your email and a hashed password (or, if you sign in with Google, your Google account email and profile basics). Accounts are optional; you can check out as a guest.
- Payment information — card payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Your full card number is entered directly with Stripe; we never receive or store your full card details. We only keep a payment reference and the amount, currency, and status of the transaction.
- Communications — messages you send us (e.g. support emails) and, if you subscribe, your newsletter email address.
- Technical data — basic information your browser sends automatically, such as IP address, device/browser type, and pages viewed, used to operate and secure the site.
How we use your information
- To process, fulfil, and deliver your orders, and to provide order updates and support.
- To operate your account and enable order tracking and guest-order look-up.
- To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- To send transactional emails, and marketing emails only if you have subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Store, and only as needed:
- Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention.
- CJdropshipping — our fulfilment partner. We share the shipping details of your order (name, address, phone, items) so your order can be packed and shipped.
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery (CDN), and image storage.
- Email provider — to deliver transactional and newsletter emails.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Authorities or advisors where required by law, or to protect our rights.
International transfers
We ship to 90+ countries and operate internationally. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Cookies & local storage
We use a small number of essential cookies and browser local storage to keep your cart, currency, and sign-in working. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Data retention
We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Account data is kept while your account is active. You can request deletion (subject to records we must retain by law).
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Children
The Store is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and processing card data exclusively through Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
